The Pinnacles Perth City
Kings Park Mandurah
Rottnest Island Swan River
Fremantle Penguin Island

The Pinnacles
It takes about three hours to get to Pinnacles from Perth. This is a large area of limestone formations rearing into the sky mystically. The Pinnacles were soft limestone covered by sea shell sand dunes. Over thousands of years rain hardened the limestone, but they were still covered by sand. then the prevailing sea winds gradually blew away the sand to reveal the Pinnacles. It was just fantastic to see them. My friend and I went there on a tour. The tour guide was very funny and made our day. We saw sunset at the Pinnacles; it was so beautiful and I was impressed.

Kings Park
Kings Park is next to Perth City, and you can look down Perth City and Swan River from the hill. Kings Park's 17 hectare Botanic garden presents a year round display of Western Australia's unique flora, with the entire park exploding into colour during the spring Wildflower Festival. Banksias, eucalypts and sheoaks predominantly wood the virgin bushland, along with over 450 plant and 70 bird species. Australians have a picnic there in the daytime and they enjoy watching a beautiful night view and illuminations. It's definitely worth going to Kings Park.

Rottnest Island
It takes about 30 minutes getting to Rottnest Island from Fremantle by a ferry. I recommend that you stay there at least one night because it deserves staying.  You cannot drive a car on the island. You can either ride a bicycle or take a bus which goes around the island. When you get there, you'll feel like you're at a resort. When my friends and I biked around the island, which took about three or four hours. We went to the pub there in the night time. Afterwards, we enjoyed talking and drinking under the beautiful stars. During the night, we saw a lot of quakkas, like a small kangaroo, in the night. You won't see many of them in the daytime.

Fremantle
It's a neat town next to a harbor. It's usually crowded with the tourists only on the weekends. There are so many nice stores to go shopping and some nice restaurants. There are also some museums. You'll have a lot of things to do in Fremantle. I really liked the Fremantle's unique atmosphere. I suggest that you go to the restaurants in front of a boat harbor and eat fish & chips, and to attend the prison tour. The prison is no longer used as a real prison. It's a just tourist place now.

There are some restaurants you can eat fish and chips around here.

In a prison. Kinda exciting?

Mandurah
Just south of Rockingham lies Mandorah, a year-round holiday resort. There are beautiful houses along a river. Sometimes, dolphins come into the river, so you might see them in the river. When I first went to this place, I was so impressed and immediately loved there. It's a so beautiful and attractive place.

Swan River
This river symblizes Perth. Swan river runs from Fremantle to beyond Perth City. People enjoy a lot of activities in Swan River such as, sailing, fishing, and dragonboating. It's a huge river. Sometimes, you'll see dolphins in this river. Apparently, sometimes, sharks come into the river, too.

Penguin Island
You can go to this island by walking on the sand bar from the mainland, depending on the tide, though. We couldn't see any penguins in that time. In the winter and in the early moring, it's more likely to see penguins. However, walking to the islnad was fun, and the island was very beautiful.
